Werken bij Theater Walhalla

Vrijwilligers Portiershuisje
Kunst en cultuur op Zuid: kan jij er wat over vertellen?
Het Portiershuisje van Theater Walhalla op Katendrecht heeft een flinke opknapbeurt gehad en wordt binnenkort een ticket- en infoshop. Een soort Culturele VVV voor Rotterdam Zuid.
Hiervoor zoeken we enthousiaste vrijwilligers om dit Portiershuisje te bemannen (of te bevrouwen) en om uit te dragen welke culturele avonturen Rotterdam Zuid te bieden heeft.
In het huisje zullen infoboekjes, flyers, routekaarten worden aangeboden die de bezoeker informeert over kunst en culturele evenementen, rondleidingen en luistertours. Het biedt ook de mogelijkheid om (last minute) tickets te kopen. Een ouderwets ticketloket, hoe leuk!
Daarnaast kan het publiek er ook terecht voor een bakkie koffie, iets lekkers, kleine (theatrale) kadootjes en snoepjes voor de kinderen van de buurt. Voor het eten en drinken staat er een collega naast je in de kiosk. Omdat de Kaap inmiddels een toeristische hotspot is, is kennis van de Engelse taal een pré.
Wat ga jij precies doen?
Het wordt jouw taak om mensen te informeren, de route te wijzen en kaartjes te verkopen voor verschillende evenementen. Om te zorgen dat jouw informatie up-to-date is onderhoud je contact met verschillende culturele instellingen over last-minute kaarten, flyers en andere informatie.
Ook ga je helpen met het verkopen van cadeautjes en het zetten van koffies.
Je gaat samenwerken met een heel team van vrijwilligers, waar ook leuke activiteiten voor worden georganiseerd. Daarnaast sta je altijd met een tweede medewerker in de kiosk.

Vacancy: Production and/or Business Management in Young Talents Club ’27
Are you passionate about working in the performing arts, but you feel you lack the typical experience required? The Young Talents Club (YTC) is here to help you break into the industry. Since 2019, the YTC offers a unique opportunity for young talents to develop their skills and gain experience, regardless of their background. For this edition, we’re hosting YTC spots at MOMO Festival, Theater Walhalla, O. Festival for Opera. Music. Theatre., LantarenVenster and Rotterdamse Dakendagen.
The YTC is an initiative by Rotterdam based Stichting Motel Mozaïque (organisers of MOMO Festival) that has helped many aspiring art professionals take their first steps into the industry. Many of our Young Talents have successfully launched their careers, with alumni now holding positions at renowned cultural institutions across the country.
What does it entail?
We tailor the program to your needs, identifying the most relevant track, developments and goals that align with your ambitions. Regular check-ins, coaching and guidance provide a healthy, educational, and productive experience. You’ll learn from our experienced industry professionals while also having the space to develop and test your own ideas. We consider the YTC as a two-way street, where we learn as much from you as you do from us! Beyond day-to-day work, we organise a series of masterclasses and coaching sessions for the talents, given by industry professionals from our network. These sessions are tailored to the interests of you and your fellow talents.
What do we offer?
• A paid learning role with real responsibility – you’ll receive pay for meaningful work, with a monthly gross reimbursement of €900,- for which you are expected to be in the office approximately two days a week.
• Tailored guidance with focus on goals and wellbeing – Each participant gets close mentorship from experienced professionals, as well as masterclasses and coaching to build skills, confidence, and a portfolio for your next career step.
• A space for experimentation and initiative – Participants are encouraged to share ideas, try new approaches, and learn from mistakes, with opportunities to explore different roles and bring societal or cultural topics into the conversation.
• Access to a professional network – The YTC connects participants to a wide network of cultural sector professionals
Werkplaats Walhalla (part of Theater Walhalla)
Theater Walhalla is a theater with four auditoriums, located in Katendrecht in the south of Rotterdam. Walhalla is a
personal and committed organization: close to visitors, closely connected to creators and many other initiatives, and with a keen interest in the immediate environment. Part of Walhalla is Werkplaats Walhalla: a production house where we focus on musical theatre and talent development. Every year, we create various performances together with new creators, in the role of producer or co-producer.
As a Young Talent, you will spend six months working behind the scenes, gaining hands-on experience in a theatre organization. We are looking for someone who is interested in the field of production and/or business management. We are a small, collaborative team, and our regular team days are on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, depending on the department you’ll be working with.

Vrijwilliger ter ondersteuning voor kantoor en boekhouding!
Walhalla is op zoek naar een nieuwe vrijwilliger ter ondersteuning van kantoor & boekhouding.
Vrijwilliger Els heeft ons lange tijd geholpen op kantoor met allerlei administratieve klussen. Maar daar gaat ze helaas mee stoppen.
Ze gaat echter niet helemaal bij ons weg, je zulthaar nog zien shinen bij de kassa en ook onze planten worden nog steeds door haar verzorgd.
We zijn hierdoor wel op zoek naar nieuwe administratieve ondersteuning.
Wat ga je precies doen en hoeveel tijd kost het ongeveer?
Je ondersteunt bij het tijdig en correct verwerken van inkomende facturen, het beheren van de boekhoudmailboxen en diverse administratieve werkzaamheden voor Theater Walhalla en Werkplaats Walhalla. Je werkzaamheden zullen gemiddeld 8 tot 12 uur per week in beslag nemen.
