Op vrijdag 24 en zaterdag 25 maart nemen Walhalla en het CTF samen Rotterdam over voor de tweede editie van het Café Theater Festival Rotterdam!

Dit bijzondere festival haalt drempels weg, brengt de podiumkunsten heel dicht naar je toe, en geeft nieuwe makers een belangrijk podium. Podiumkunsten en de horeca worden een plek waar niets is wat het lijkt. Je tafel is opeens een podium en een luidruchtige stamgast blijkt een acteur.

Elf horecazaken in Rotterdam vormen op deze dagen het decor van korte voorstellingen van makers uit verschillende disciplines: muziektheater, toneel, circus, musical, tango-opera, cabaret, hiphop en dans. Er zijn ook voorstellingen te zien in: Hijs, Gezellig Bij Norge, Cafe de Ouwehoer, Kopi Soesoe, La Petite Soeur, Bruut 21, SS Rotterdam, Cafe de Nieuwe Kaap, CIZZ, 21 Pinchos en Foyer Café Walhalla.

On Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of March the first edition of the Café Theater Festival will come to Rotterdam. The originally Utrecht festival will be in Katendrecht, where 10 bars will become a place to see short performances of all different kinds: theatre, circus, musical, tango-opera, comedy, hiphop and dance. The festival brings the performing arts right in front of you and gives new performers an important stage. Come to the Cafe Theater Festival for a theatrical pub crawl in different bars: your table suddenly becomes a stage and a loud customer suddenly appears to be an actor.
